The Court of flagrante delictos has delivered its verdict in the Ameth Ndoye case. The SEN TV columnist, who was placed under arrest for lack of a driving license, has 15 days in Reubeus prison, before regaining his freedom.
Ameth Ndoye and police officer Abdoulaye Sow now know their sentence. The defendants were found guilty of the charges against them. In his deliberations, the judge was rather lenient with the police officer Abdoulaye Sow, who was exempted from sentence. The judgment will not be mentioned on his criminal record. On the other hand, the magistrate imposed a firm sentence of 15 days on Ameth Ndoye.

As a reminder, the columnist was placed under arrest warrant on October 29 for charges of driving without a license, false documents and use of forgery, as well as unintentional injury. Abdoulaye Sow, a Medina police officer, allegedly provided him with a false certificate.
