This new jersey, the presentation of which marks a major step in anticipation of the African Cup of Nations (CAN 2025), is the result of cooperation between the equipment manufacturer Pumathe Royal Moroccan Federation (FRMF), the national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) et Planet Sport.

Speaking on the occasion, RAM CEO, Abdelhamid Addoudeclared that this event is “historical for the company as it highlights its constant support for the Moroccan team.

“We are delighted with the organization of this event which will allow us to support our national teams, men and women,” he added. “The organization of this ceremony is part of a global strategy to promote Moroccan sport and the Morocco brand.”

To promote the national team and Morocco as a tourist destination, several innovative actions, initiated in partnership with Planet Sport, are carried out by the company by having all cabin crew (hostesses and stewards) wear the new jerseys. for two dayson board Royal Air Maroc planes, in support of the national selection and promotion of football as a vector of tourist influence for the Morocco destination, we read in a joint press release from the FRMF, RAM, Puma and Planet Sport.

This action will not be limited to cabin crew, but will extend to RAM ground staff who work at airports in the Kingdom and internationally. This mainly concerns employees based in stopovers where the company ensures high activity, such as Casablanca, Marrakech, Dakhla, Laayoune et Oujda, but also Abidjan, -, Frankfurt, London, Milan, New York, Barcelona and Dakar.

For his part, Peter Dangldirector at Puma, indicated that the global equipment manufacturer is “very proud to be able to collaborate with a talented Moroccan designer, in this case Abderrahmane Trabsiniwho designed a jersey representing the cultural richness of Morocco.

The jersey features designs inspired by geometric designs and traditional Moroccan tiles with the Kingdom’s five-pointed star at its heart, he said, noting that Puma has equipped this jersey with the most innovative technology in order to offer national team players a light, cold and high-performance T-shirt.

“It is not a simple jersey, it is a symbol of football, a symbol of Morocco. He will become the ambassador of the national team,” he stressed.

The national team players, led by the coach, Walid Regragui, posed for a souvenir photo with the new jersey. Present were, among others, Sofyan Amrabat, Yahya Attihat Allah, Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, Adam Massina, Bilal El Khannouss and Brahim Diaz.

Speaking on this occasion, the goalkeeper of the national team, Yassine Bounou, expressed his “love for the national colors”, noting that “from a young age, he dreamed of defending the Lions jersey of the Atlas.

“When I was a child, it was difficult to get a Moroccan team jersey on the market. Today, it is worn by everyone, thanks to the influence of Moroccan football at the African and worldwide,” he confided.

“Thanks to the efforts of the players, the leaders of Moroccan football, and especially HM King Mohammed VI, the craze for the national jersey is growing,” he noted, calling on the Moroccans to be established in the Kingdom or abroad, to defend the colors of the country.

The new national team jersey was designed in two colors, red for home matches, and white for away matches.

Embodying the essence of Moroccan art, the kit Home features patterns inspired by geometric designs and traditional Moroccan zellige tiles with, in the center, the five-pointed star of the flag of Morocco highlighted, reflecting the authenticity of Moroccan culture.

On the kit Awayembroidery and symbols inspired by Amazigh craftsmanship have been incorporated with motifs that deeply connect to Moroccan heritage, bringing an additional cultural dimension to the design. The vibrant red and green palette reflects the national flag, while the inclusion of tifinagh on the back of the jersey pays homage to Morocco’s deep and rich history and cultural diversity.

This ceremony took place in the presence, in particular, of the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Mohammed Saâd Berradaof the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouhfrom the lieutenant general Mohamed Haramoucommander of the Royal Gendarmerie, of the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, and several other personalities.
