According to Belgian media Sudinfo, a four-year-old child was discovered with his throat slit in his bedroom following an argument between his parents.
This infanticide, confirmed by Catherine Collignon of the Liège public prosecutor’s office, took place in a family home, located in Berloz, a French-speaking commune located in the Walloon Region in the province of Liège.
The suspected mother
If the mother is suspected of having committed the acts, both parents have been arrested.
According to police information, relayed by Sudinfo, the father went to sleep on the sofa, but when he woke up, the couple’s car disappeared. When he went up to the room, the man discovered his 4-year-old child with his throat slit on the upper floor.
An investigation has been opened. Both parents were interviewed this Sunday, November 10.
