Collex-Bossy (GE) will vote on Sunday November 24 on a credit of 630,000 francs intended to create a meeting area in the heart of the village of Bossy. Contested by referendum, this project plans to develop the Ornex road over approximately 200 meters with the aim of improving pedestrian safety.
This development responds to concerns expressed for several years by Bossiotes about traffic on this road. Speed will be reduced to 20 km/h in this secure meeting area. The project also provides for a link between the dairy, which will become the village’s living space, and the play area.
For referendum voters, the cost of this project is excessive. In addition, it goes beyond demands relating to road safety. Opponents also fear that the narrowing of the road will hamper maneuvers and the movement of agricultural vehicles.
