Salon Maroc in Mode 2024: innovation and textile know-how on offer

Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 21st edition of the Maroc in Mode (MIM) Salon opened this Thursday, November 7, 2024 at the Casablanca International Fair.

Organized by the Moroccan Association of Textile and Clothing Industries (AMITH) and supported by the Moroccan Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Exports (AMDIE), this event welcomes hundreds of industry professionals, in attendance major figures such as the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Younes Sekkouri, and the President of AMITH, Anass El Ansari.

Recognized as an essential place for exchange, the MIM Show offers a networking platform where Moroccan and international textile players meet. This year, more than 150 exhibitors, mainly Moroccan companies, are presenting their innovations and know-how to attract global markets.

The theme of this edition, “Dayem”, embodies AMITH’s commitment to sustainable development and opening up to new markets, with growing interest for investors, particularly Chinese.

The opening ceremony was marked by the signing of three strategic memorandums of understanding for the sector: a first with EURATEX to strengthen industrial cooperation with the European Union, a second with Casa Moda Academy to promote emerging talents, and a third with the Technical Center for Textiles and Clothing (CTTH) to promote Moroccan brands. A fashion show organized by Casa Moda Academy students also provided a creative stage for young designers, highlighting the next generation of Moroccan fashion.
