The HR Meetings of AfricSearch, a key player in recruitment and HR performance consulting in Africa, began this Wednesday, November 6 in Dakar. Placed under the theme “AfricSearch HR Best Practices”, this first day, in conference format, highlighted the theme of “Quality of Life and Working Conditions (QVCT) and employee well-being, a new priority HR”.

Various topics were explored, including the digitalization of HR administrative processes, teleworking, management by objectives, as well as the management of inclusion and diversity. Pending in-depth reforms of labor codes, the social partners are turning towards provisional agreements, adapted to the specificities of each country but always focused on securing the employer-employee relationship.

In this regard, Joel-Eric Missainhoun of AfricSearch underlined that “the digitalization of HR administrative management represents a 100% gain”. Cultural aspects are also crucial to carrying out change, and the choice of partner is decisive in the e-HR strategy.

The conference also addressed the issue of working hours: if Togo’s new labor code includes these aspects, that of Senegal, under reform for five years, should follow the same path.
