By recalling the freedom of women to dress as they wish, without pointing the finger at the Islamic regime in Iran, environmentalist MP Sandrine Rousseau has sparked controversy.

Rare are the occasions when the French political class is completely in phase, but the « courage » of the Iranian student, Ahou Daryaei, who took off her clothes on November 2 in Tehran to protest against the Islamic regime made everyone agree. Most left-wing parties were also to be represented at the support rally organized Tuesday evening on the Place du Panthéon. The general consensus, however, did not prevent the resurrection of the debate on the wearing of the veil, an eternal and inflammable divide which has so divided the left and feminist associations in the past.

If some recall that the veil will always be a « servo tool » of women, many believe that it is necessary to make ends meet. Namely, supporting oppressed women who do not wish to wear the veil while defending, particularly in , those who demand to wear one out of religious conviction. This is particularly the case of
