All American security services will be on alert for the day of the American election and the days that follow, estimates the former director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS).

“Everyone is hyper vigilant. Every election, we increase the level of security at places where people go to vote, but particularly around the main candidates. This time, because of the polarization that was created by Mr. Trump herself. This polarization means that danger can come from all directions,” explains Michel Juneau-Katsuya in an interview with the bulletin The 8:30 p.m.
The expert believes the former president whipped up his supporters by saying he was robbed in the 2020 election.
“We have already seen signs with the ballot boxes that were set on fire. So, we can see that all security services will be on alert,” he says.
Michel Juneau-Katsuya points out that it is revealing that 48% of Americans fear violence after election day, according to a Léger poll conducted in the United States.
Moreover, he fears that the danger will come from Republican supporters in the event of Donald Trump’s defeat.
“We will remember that Mr. Trump made half-hearted threats about what would happen next if he were to lose. Once again, a bit like he did during the storming of the Capitol, he already encouraged his troops a little bit. We will now have to see how he will behave on election night,” notes the former director of SCRS.
The security expert hopes to see a mass outing against Mr. Trump if Kamala Harris wins the vote.
