The Koungheul urban police station completed, this Monday, November 4, 2024, the investigation into the clashes between Pastef activists and those of the Takku Wallu coalition, during the visit of the head of the national list Ousmane Sonko. Police investigations made it possible to pinpoint the responsibility of six people in both camps, Seneweb informs.
3 opposition members overwhelmed by investigation
They are Mamadou Diouf, president of the And Dolel Kao movement and responsible for coordinating the elections of the Takku Wallu/Koungheul coalition; Michel Badiette, in charge of massification for former MP Fanta Sall of the Apr; and Ibrahima Ndiaye, in charge of protocol for the Takku Wallu/Koungheul coalition.
In addition, consistent evidence implicates three members of the presidential movement. They are Moussé Laye, departmental coordinator of the Patriotic Youth of Senegal (JPS) in Koungheul and project manager at the Presidency of the Republic; El Hadj Babou Guèye and driver Malick Guèye, both members of Pastef. The six accused are being prosecuted for various actions, destruction of property belonging to others (article 98 of the CP), gathering and prohibited demonstration (articles 96 of the CP) according to Seneweb sources.
But they were released on summons, on the instructions of the public prosecutor at the Kaffrine high court. The prosecution also ordered the transmission of the file in the form of judicial information. Thus, all six suspects go about their business, but their file is in the office of the Kaffrine prosecutor.
