Two retirees and roommates from Beauce, in Chaudière-Appalaches, will be able to make their dream come true after winning $5 million in Lotto 6/49.
Francine Thibodeau won the classic Lotto 6/49 jackpot, $5 million, in the October 12 draw with her long-time roommate, Johanne Bergeron.
The two Beauce residents bought their ticket at the Super C grocery store located on Lacroix Boulevard in Saint-Georges.

They told Loto-Québec that when Francine had her ticket checked, she quickly came home to tell her friend the news before hiding the precious ticket in a drawer.
Now multimillionaires, Johanne and Francine first want to repay their mortgage loan.
Francine also mentioned that she was finally going to buy her dream car, a Jeep. “When she called the dealership to order the vehicle she wanted, she didn’t even think it necessary to ask what the price was!” reported Loto-Québec.
Since the start of the year, the company has awarded 95 prizes of $1 million or more across the province. In total, 82 people became millionaires.
