City of Morges – Christmas activities 2024

Nocturnes and Christmas Night Market

Shops are open until 8 p.m. on the following days:

• Saturday December 14
• Saturday December 21
• Monday December 23

Transport on MBC bus lines 701 to 706 and on the MBC train route between Morges-gare and Prélionne is offered by the City of Morges on Saturday December 21, 2024, from 4 p.m. to the end of the service.

The Christmas Night Market takes place on the Grand-Rue, on the Place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville as well as on the Rue Centrale. Around a hundred exhibitors are present:

• Friday December 20, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Monday December 23, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Sunday opening of “small businesses” (without employees)

• Sundays December 8 and 15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Christmas market at the Château

• From Saturday November 30 to December 15, except Mondays and Tuesdays, more than 90 exhibitors are present within the Château de Morges and numerous activities are offered. More information on: morgesmarchedenoel.ch

COOR activities

The Morges Economy and Trade Coordination (COOR) is organizing several events on the Cour du Collège du Bluard from December 20 to 23:

• December 20, in the evening: gospel by 14 people
• December 21: Djangologie orchestra
• December 22: raclette, lotto or karaoke
• December 23: DJs from the 60s to the 90s

Also discover during these four days mulled wine stands, make-up for children, candy bars, Christmas decorations, etc.

Not alone at Christmas

• An evening organized on December 24 at 7 p.m. at the Couvaloup cellars for people who do not have the chance to spend Christmas Eve with their loved ones. On the program, a meal worthy of the occasion and a series of activities for the modest sum of 10 CHF. Christmas Tables

• Do you want to share the Christmas spirit and welcome a senior from your region to your home for a festive meal in a family atmosphere?
• Are you retired and want to join a Christmas Table with volunteers in your region? Sign up, they look forward to welcoming you.
• Action between Saturday December 16 and Friday December 26, throughout the canton of Vaud.

Santa at the skating rink

• On Wednesday, December 11, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., it’s Santa Claus Day at the Eaux-Minérales ice rink. Small meals and surprises! More information on: patinoiremorges.ch

Organ concerts at the temple of Morges

• December 5, 8 p.m., with Yves Rechsteiner
• December 8, 5 pm, with the Fanfare of Crissier and Nenad Djukic
• December 15 at 5 p.m., “Let’s sing Christmas together” concert, organ and instrument with the Morgian music school La Syncope.

Closure of the municipal administration

• On the occasion of the end-of-year holidays, the municipal administration closes its offices from Tuesday December 24, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. to Monday January 6, 2025 at 8 a.m. Office hours will be provided by certain services.
