The victims, who raised the alarm shortly before 11 p.m., all presented symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning after using braziers in a living room of the cottage. The first examinations carried out by the emergency services confirmed that 13 people, all adults, had indeed inhaled this gas which can prove fatal, and they were transported to the Grenoble Alpes University Hospital by a series of ambulances. Two others were left behind. According to initial information, it was not a case of serious poisoning, the victims having been classified as relative emergency. Thirty-five firefighters participated in this operation. The gendarmerie carried out observations at the scene of the incident.
