He considers that the reception by the Security Council of this dynamic which promotes Moroccan achievements, and the emphasis placed on the political settlement of this artificial conflict and on the return to round tables, align perfectly with the strategic vision of our country, developed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI and with the process of recent developments in the Sahara question and the important victories won by our country on the path to the conclusion of this artificial conflict.

The political solution recommended by the Security Council…

The Executive Committee also welcomes the successful state visit carried out by Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic to Morocco as well as the important results that it achieved and the promising future prospects that it established through the announcement of the Exceptional Partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the French Republic, tracing a brilliant common horizon for Moroccan-French relations in all areas. This will strengthen our country’s position as a rising regional power and its roles in establishing global peace and security and establishing a successful model of continental and multilateral cooperation, in the service of development. sustainability and the well-being of citizens.

The Executive Committee expresses its satisfaction and esteem with regard to the French historical position concerning the territorial integrity of the Kingdom, confirmed by the French President in his speech to the Moroccan Parliament. Indeed, the latter reaffirmed the recognition by the French Republic of Moroccan sovereignty over our southern provinces, and ’s determination to support this approach in the various international forums, as well as to strengthen the French consular presence in our southern regions. The Comex considers that this recognition has compelling authority and strong symbolism, given France’s good knowledge of the historical, legal and judicial facts which confirm our country’s right to sovereignty over the Moroccan Sahara.
