A relaxation? What relaxation?

A few hours after largely celebrating its title of champion of Spain, Real Madrid made short work of Deportivo Alavès (3-0).

We could have feared a less sharp Real Madrid in a meeting without much at stake, but that was not the case. From the first minutes, the Merengues take the lead on a gem from Jude Bellingham, who lobs Jesus Owono from a tight angle on a serve from Toni Kroos (1-0, 10e). The break is made a quarter of an hour later when Vinicius Junior comes to cut Eduardo Camavinga’s cross to double the lead and already put his team in safety (2-0, 27e)before Federico Valverde folded the deal just before the lemons (3-0, 45e+1).

This time, the case is settled, and Real hardly force their talent after the break. Twirling, Camavinga slaloms through the opposing defense, but is ultimately too short to deceive Owono (52e). The fourth pawn of the evening finally comes from a combination between Bellingham and Vinicius, the Englishman perfectly shifting his Brazilian friend (4-0, 70e). Entering the game, Arda Güler takes care of making the Bernabéu stand up one last time, taking advantage of a breakthrough from Rodrygo (5-0, 82e). Despite seventeen attempts, ten of which were on target, the visitors were unable to deceive the vigilance of Thibaut Courtois.

Everything is going well in the best of all possible worlds in Madrid.
