“I’m an artist, I make pop and Eurovision is the Olympics of pop. » Promising pop singer, Bachar Mourad dreamed of participating in Eurovision. Due to the lack of a Palestinian delegation, the thirty-year-old participated in the qualifications to represent Iceland, narrowly failing at the gates of the competition.

The 31-year-old singer insists he cherished the Eurovision dream ” since a long time “, long before the war. Bachar Mourad did not win the qualifications and will not ultimately represent Iceland in radio crochet, but he made it to the final round of the Icelandic competition. Given favorite with his song Wild Westhe was beaten down to the wire by Hera Björk – who already represented Iceland in 2010 – and her title Scared of Heights But Hera Björk did not advance to the semi-finals of Eurovision and Iceland will not be represented in the final on Saturday in Malmö, Sweden.
