An investment of 126 MDH for the Coelma ZAE

Announced in 2022, the implementation of the economic and artisanal activities zone (ZEA) of the Coelma district in Tetouan continues, with the launch of a call for tenders for the completion of the work by theAgency for the Promotion and Development of the North (APDN).

The cost of the construction work in this area amounts to approximately 100 million dirhams (MDH), according to this call for tenders, the opening of bids of which is scheduled for June 14, noting that the first tranche consists of the construction of 60 units, while the second tranche is dedicated to the construction of 47 units, administration, commercial premises and nursery, and the 3rd tranche concerns the establishment of 33 units.

The work to be carried out, which should last 12 months after notification of the service provider company of the order to begin the work, includes the structural work, metal framework, coverings, waterproofing, carpentry, electricity, painting and others.

According to the partnership agreement relating to this project, initialed by the Council of the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, the Municipality of Tétouan, the APDN, the province of Tétouan, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy, the overall cost of creating this zone amounts to 126 MDH, including 60 MDH as a contribution from the Regional Council.

The Tetouan economic and craft activity zone, which extends over a total area of ​​approximately 5 hectares, includes stores intended to accommodate the various production and service units, particularly in the craft sectors, logistics and textiles.

This important socio-economic project aims to strengthen infrastructure aimed at attracting investors, and to promote the growth of promising economic and industrial sectors in Tetouan, as well as to strengthen the integration of the informal sector, in accordance with the national plan for the promotion of employment and private investment.
