The starting grid for the Miami F1 Grand Prix has been slightly corrected after qualifying last Saturday evening. Indeed, for the record, Daniel Ricciardo had 3 penalty places to serve, after the Chinese Grand Prix.

A retroactive penalty for Ricciardo, on the Miami F1 grid

The Australian was guilty of overtaking Nico Hulkenberg’s Haas, under a red flag, just after being harpooned by Lance Stroll (Aston Martin). Also, due to his retirement in Shanghai, the Racing Bulls driver did not have the opportunity to receive the sanction immediately. Hence this loss of places this Sunday, in Florida. For the moment, this is the only sanction, despite the large number of infractions observed during the qualifying phase. Obviously, the stewards do not/no longer sanction situations of embarrassment during qualifying practices. Perhaps due to the winding nature of the circuit covered this weekend?

In any case, here is the starting grid, normally final.
