The individual wanted for having perpetrated sexual acts on a bus in Mount Royal was arrested by the City of Montreal Police Department on Wednesday.

“Aged 34, the suspect was arrested [mercredi] at the De l’Église metro station, in the Verdun borough,” explained the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM), in a press release released Thursday.
On April 11, the suspect allegedly masturbated in front of a minor on board bus 165 Côte-des-Neiges, in Montreal. He then allegedly followed the victim when she got off the bus and sexually touched her. Since September 12, the man was the subject of a wanted notice from the Sexual Assault Section of the SPVM.
The individual appeared at the Montreal courthouse on Thursday and faces several counts of harassment, sexual contact, and sexual assault.
“The criminal investigation led by the Sexual Assault Section also revealed that the suspect would be linked to other events that occurred in Montreal,” said the SPVM.
