The opposition criticized the progress report on government action, notes Al Massae. In its assessment of this assessment, the PPS drew attention to “lack of interest” granted by the government to the problems of the rural world and to the situation of small farmers whose conditions “continues to deteriorate” because of the drought.

For its part, the PJD estimated that the government’s record is “mediocre and disappointing” on several social and economic issues. In this sense, Mustapha Ibrahimi, member of the PJD group in the House of Representatives, stressed that the results include several “erroneous figures”, noting that the executive has “broken records in terms of unemployment level” after the national economy lost more than 187,000 jobs.
