AS FAR qualified for the group stage of the African Football Champions League, by winning at home on Sunday against Al Merrikh of Sudan (2-0) in the return match of the 2nd preliminary round.
The two goals for the Military were scored by Ahmed Hamoudane (43rd) and Joel Beya (60th).
In the first leg, the two teams were unable to separate (2-2).
Raja Casablanca, another Moroccan representative in the Champions League, also secured a place in the group stage by beating Ghanaians FC Samartex (2-0).
In the first leg played in Accra, the two teams drew (2-2).
The draw for the Champions League group stage will take place on 7 October 2024 (11:00 GMT) at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo.
