TELEVISION – A terrible disappointment. The viewers’ happiness to see Pascal, a farmer candidate for Love is in the meadow, Meeting the bubbly Muriel gave way to total disappointment in the episode broadcast this Monday, September 16.

During last week’s speed dating, Muriel and the 58-year-old cow farmer had a huge crush on each other. The presenter Karine Le Marchand and the viewers moved by the journey of Pascal, who suffered from alcoholism, were unanimously happy.

Later, she continues: “Your windows are pretty, but the wooden frames aren’t… you should put up curtains like that, they’re less visible and it looks better… but hey, to each his own!” Then it’s the sofa’s turn which “takes up a bit too much space.” “And the color… it’s green, it’s old times!”she added.

Although the farmer initially seems rather conciliatory, his smile gradually turns into a grimace. Particularly when Muriel lets slip that some of her flowers “stink” and that they will go to him “give a headache”.

The final blow comes when the pensioner admits she cannot eat green beans: “It’s not that I don’t like it, but I can’t. I have ulcerative colitis, an inflammation of the intestines. I’m not allowed to eat green beans, anything with skin like tomatoes, anything with cabbage. If I eat them, it gives me gastroenteritis.” Enough to make Pascal despair, as he had planned beans for lunch.

Pascal wants to dot the i’s

Alone in front of the camera, the breeder lets go. “If you’re not happy, go home!”he gets angry. “Her behavior annoys me a little, she gets the better of me. (…) I’m going to have to dot the i’s at some point. So that she doesn’t get the better of me, so that she doesn’t eat me up.”he thought.

Viewers were also annoyed by the behavior of the contender, and were amused by Pascal’s desperate face. They also compared Muriel to Justine, a candidate from the previous season accused of authoritarianism by some Internet users because of her frankness and assertive character. The latter had also been violently harassed on social networks.

While acknowledging to Pascal: “My biggest flaw is that I’m a bit of a neat freak.” It remains to be seen whether their story will continue, despite these clashes.
