Sidi Bennour – A total of 18 school buses were handed over to rural municipalities in the province of Sidi Bennour, as part of the efforts of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) aimed at combating school dropout in rural areas.

The ceremony for handing over the keys to these school transport buses was chaired on Sunday by the governor of the province of Sidi Bennour, El Hassan Boukouta.

“This is a batch of 18 buses, 10 of which were acquired under the INDH’s Human Capital Boosting of Rising Generations program and 8 made available by the Provincial Council of Sidi Bennour,” the head of the Social Action Division (DAS) of the province of Sidi Bennour, Soukaina Chattabi, told MAP.

This project, she indicated, sets as its main objective the improvement of access for students from remote douars to the nearest educational establishments.

The lot handed over by the INDH was handed over to the territorial communes of Laatatra, M’tal, Béni Hilal, Khmis Ksiba, Koudiat Bni Dghough, Tamda, Oulad Amrane, Laghnadra, Saniat Berguig and Oualidia, while that of the provincial council benefited the rural communes of Oulad Si Bouhya, Bouhmame, Laaounat, Laamria, Beni Tssiris, Oulad Amrane, Lahgagcha and Lgharbia, we learned from the same Source.

This ceremony of handing over the keys was marked by the presence in particular of officials from the province of Sidi Bennour, as well as several elected officials, deputies and parliamentary advisers.
