The annual subscription will be offered at 19.99 euros per month (compared to 29.99 euros) from September 10 to 22.

Faced with the discontent, DAZN is trying to respond. Heavily criticized for the price of its Ligue 1 subscription, the British streaming platform will launch a promotion this Tuesday, valid from September 10 to 22, lowering the price of its annual subscription from 29.99 to 19.99 euros per month, the boss of DAZN France announced to AFP.

“We are going to launch a promotion around our offers, valid from September 10 to September 22. Concerning the monthly offer (without commitment, Editor’s note) which is 39.99 euros, the first two months will be 19.99 euros. So 50% off on the first two months. And we are going to make an exceptional promotion on the annual offer which is today 29.99 euros (per month), which will be 19.99 euros over 12 months.”said Brice Daumin, CEO of DAZN France. The British platform acquired the TV broadcast rights for eight L1 matches per day at the beginning of July for an average of 400 million euros per season.

In an interview with Parisian published a few days ago, the boss of DAZN France still defended the price of his subscription. “DAZN, with an offer at 29.99 euros, even if you add BeIN Sports at 15 euros per month, it is not more expensive than what existed before”replied Brice Daumin, while declaring himself open to proposing “specific offers, whatever the parameters”. “A lot of things are possible: if we want to put a free match, or even a half-time, the last quarter of a basketball game, it’s possible. If there is a need, an opportunity, that’s obviously part of the things we want to work on.”he assured.
