With her back on the ground and her head in the sky, Aryna Sabalenka smiled with tears of having conquered her fears. Beaten here last year by Coco Gauff in the final, the Belarusian, world No. 2, this time dominated another American, Jessica Pegula, in two sets (7-5, 7-5) at the end of a very intense final with multiple upsets, to claim her third Grand Slam title, the second this season, after those won in Melbourne in 2023 and 2024.
