Five people injured during a shooting in a school in Sweden – Rts.ch


Five people were injured Tuesday by fire in a school in the city of Örebro, 200 kilometers west of Stockholm, Swedish police announced. A police operation is underway.

“A shooting occurred at school. Four people were affected. Their condition is not clear. The operation is still underway,” said the police on his site which then reported a Fifth person affected.

“The danger is not dismissed. The public must continue to keep away from Västhaga”, the district where the shots occurred, she said at 2:10 p.m.

The local media showed the presence of armed police around a building in the neighborhood.

Automatic weapon shots

According to the daily AFTONBLADET, automatic gunfire has been heard and the emergency room of the city hospital have been reorganized to make room for injured.

“The information reporting to Örebro is very serious. The police are on the spot and the operation is in full swing. The government is in close contact with the police and closely follows the evolution of the situation,” said the Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer to the public television SVT.

An investigation is underway for “attempted murder, criminal fire and aggravated offense in arms legislation”.
