A first video to announce good news to his fans: “I took the time to work on a beautiful song, I searched deep in my heart”explains the 28-year-old artist, who intends to give the image of a young man who has become himself again, calm and peaceful.

A few hours later, the interpreter ofAndalusian posts his new title called If only… The tone is set: four months after his gunshot wound to the chest, intended to simulate suicide after a night of excess, he wants to ignore this dark episode which has tarnished his public image: “Forgive me if I preferred to destroy myself, even if it meant risking damaging my empire. On stage I left my smile.”sings Kendji, as if to make an act of contrition towards his fans.
Most of them were taken aback to discover the hidden side of their idol. That of a young man adrift, dark, depressed, prey to addictions and accused by certain associations of psychological violence towards Soraya, his partner (which she denied in the press).
He chose to speak frankly about this existential malaise that was eating away at him at that time in his life and to explain it using the informal “tu”: “If only I had known how to tell you without having to write it on my skin. If only I had known how to tell you without the fear of ruining the photo. If only I had known how to really tell you. If only I had known how to tell you before.”
A not so impeccable plan?
