Fontiès-d'Aude: hikers in Aigues-Vives

Vineyard or stony paths, led by Claude, the nine hikers discovered part of the Aigues-Vives territory. The fresh morning air was quickly replaced by sunshine making the walk more pleasant. The still colorful vines were replaced by beautiful fields of olive trees and the rectangular Roman tomb (or Mezolieux tower) three-quarters destroyed awaited them not very far from Camin Romieu. A few more km and the meal from the bag was found near a curious cactus embankment. The hike continued with a passage past the Bonhomme estate, the Saint-Jean cross, meeting a few equines to finally return to the starting point. This first hike of the year ended with a cake and a glass of Limoux sparkling wine to celebrate December's birthdays.
