Corrosion Of Conformity finishes pre-production of its new album expected in 2025

Metal band Corrosion Of Conformity recently announced that they have completed pre-production on their upcoming album, the successor to No Cross No Crown released in 2018. This step marks an important turning point for the group which returns to the studio with new compositions and renewed energy.

A new album in preparation

The news was shared by bassist Bobby Landgraf via a video posted to Instagram, showing the band in the middle of a pre-production session at their studio in Central America. In this video, Landgraf enthusiastically says: “The tones are incredible, the album is powerful, and we are really proud of what we accomplished this week.”

Warren Riker, known for his expertise, is in charge of mixing, promising quality production for this new opus. This album will be the first since the departure of founding bassist Mike Dean in September 2024, replaced by Bobby Landgraf.

A chapter marked by changes

The departure of Mike Dean, announced in 2024, marked a turning point for Corrosion Of Conformity. In an emotional statement, Dean explained that geographic distance and the death of founding drummer Reed Mullin in 2020 had made the collaboration increasingly difficult. Despite the departure, Dean expressed pride in his work with the group and enthusiasm for their upcoming projects.

For their part, the remaining members, Pepper Keenan and Woody Weatherman, confirmed their determination to continue the adventure: “This story is not over, and the train will not stop. We will continue to create music and move forward.”
