Rarely has success been so dazzling for a talent show winner. Almost a year ago, on February 3, 2024, Pierre Garnier won season 11 of the Star Academy. Then everything happened very quickly. A title, Those we weresung during the last prime in a completely unexpected way at the initiative of Dadju. Released a few days later, it immediately ranked number 1. The success of its first opus (Every second) more than keeps up, even ending 2024 in fifth position for the best-selling albums of the year (sometimes exhausting for the young artist). The next one begins on the same basis, including a moving first concert of his solo tour. And while he has already joined the legendary troupe of Enfoirés, Pierre Garnier was also able to happily welcome two nominations for the 40th Victoires de la Musique in the male revelation and original song categories. On the sidelines of the press conference for the ceremony which we attended on Monday January 13, 2025, he answered a few questions from Tele-Leisure et TV Z.
Pierre Garnier on his life after Star Academy: “I didn’t stop”
Everything happened very quickly for you, it’s been a bit of a crazy year…
Pierre Garnier: That’s true to say. I didn't stop. I've done a lot of different things. This is my first year where I'm living my passion fully, which is great! It's a lot of work, but just joy. At first, I didn't even think about doing Star Ac; win it, even less. So let’s not even talk about the Zénith tour… Between my album, which is also working, the tour, and the Victoires now: all these moments are crazy!
Did you expect these nominations for Victories?
No way. Especially since in recent years, the tele-hooks were not really targeted by the Victories. So I'm quite surprised and honored to be there.

What do the Victories mean to you?
It’s truly a prestigious ceremony, a bit like the champagne glass of the ceremony. I watched with my parents when I was younger. For example, I remember family meals where we watched the performances. I especially remember those of Orelsan, especially since he comes from my place!
After the Victories, do you have other projects?
My whole year is dedicated to touring. We started with small rooms. Then the Zenith begins in March. The festivals will come next, and the Accor Arena in December. I think I'm going to have a great year!
