With perhaps layoffs as a result. Currently, the brand employs 6,500 employeesand their future remains up in the air. But has the brand said its last word?

Philippe Ginestet, the historic founder of Gifi, would like it to be simply “a handover”, rather than a definitive farewell to the bazaar brand. “Philippe Ginestet wishes to consolidate and ensure its sustainability in a decisive manner”confided last November his lawyer Me Christophe Dejean, to our colleagues in South-West.
