The new health record available by the end of the month in

By the end of the month, the Territorial Collectivity of (CTM) will distribute 850 copies of this new version of the health record in maternity wards and Maternal Child Protection (PMI) centers on the island.

In force since January 1, 2025, in accordance with the recommendations of the High Council of Public Health (HCSP), this new version of the health record was designed to support parents by offering them prevention advice promoting health, well-being and health. being and the development of the child.

Updated prevention advice

Prevention advice has been updated, as explained Camille Resid, deputy general director of health, prevention, sport at the CTM :

The messages have been updated in this new health book, in particular for example on exposure to screens. It is reminded in the notebook that children under 3 years old should not be exposed to screens. For example, you should not leave a screen on in a room where the child is. There are also recommendations regarding physical activity for children. Messages also on the prevention of violence, whether from parents or those around them. In the event of harassment, there are useful contacts which are indicated to adolescents and then health professionals are also made aware of the identification of violence in children and adolescents.

A second delivery by March

The notebook also includes the list and contact details of PMI centers in Martinique in order to strengthen access to services for families.

Note that a second delivery of health records is planned by March 2025 in order to cover the needs of the entire territory.

And the health records already in circulation remain, of course, valid.
