“I’m 46 years old, I’ve gained wrinkles, white hair, weight… but fuck it! I want to appreciate myself, love myself, find myself beautiful, today, more than ever! », writes Marie-Annick Lépine in her Sunday evening publication, already liked by nearly 4000 people.

The artist, widow of Karl Tremblay, says she was marked by an interview in which the host and journalist Janette Bertrand, who viewed images of her at the age of 36, said: “My God, I was beautiful! …All this time wasted thinking I was ugly! »

“Who considers themselves beautiful, who considers themselves handsome? », asks the 46-year-old musician to her friends and Facebook subscribers.

“I’m starting to be able to look at old photos of our daughters with their dad. They are so adorable! I am present in the majority of these souvenir photos. Looking back, I realize that I was very pretty,” confides the artist, mother of two daughters.

Marie-Annick Lépine explains that this reflection on beauty came while she was digging through her photos looking for a photo of their former English Bulldog which will appear on the cover of her next album.

“She died on May 8, 2020, during the pandemic and three months after my son’s cancer diagnosis. It was Karl’s dog. A quiet female who stayed close to him all the time. She wasn’t very active (it was a perfect match :),” she remembers, sharing photos of her late puppy, of her ten years ago (“pretty without knowing it”) and of Janette Bertrand “one of my idols since reading his autobiography My life in three acts ».

“Let us love each other!” », Wisely concludes the singer and musician.
