The start of 2025 promises to be a good year for metal fans. All That Remains, Dream Theater, Jinjer, Killswitch Engage, Architects, Spiritbox and Arch Enemy all have new albums coming by the end of March. Of the number, the offerings from Spiritbox, Jinjer and Dream Theater are the ones that make our radar tingle. With another Grammy selection, Spiritbox arrives with Tsunami Seathe record that could establish the Canadian metalcore quartet. Already imperial, the Ukrainians of Jinjer set the table with four extracts from their next Duelforcefully reaffirming their leadership on the bustling progressive groove metal scene. As for Dream Theater, those to whom we owe the metal-prog amalgam have reunited with their brilliant drummer Mike Portnoy, an event which in itself deserves our full attention.
