The Slayer guitarist reflects on his love for one of Black Sabbath's most memorable albums.
An obvious choice for Kerry King
In a recent interview with Wall Of SoundSlayer guitarist Kerry King was asked to choose which Black Sabbath album he would take if the planet was about to explode. Without hesitation, he opted for Sabotagethe group's sixth studio album, released in 1975.
“I would choose… It's easy and difficult at the same time, because I'm a big fan of [Ronnie James] Dio. But I would take Sabotage. There's something about the feeling of this album. It's cool. Well, they're all cool, but this one has something special. Maybe [à cause de la chanson] Symptom Of The Universe. I don't know. It’s non-stop badass.”

For what Sabotage ?
Kerry King has often expressed his admiration for Sabotage. In 2017, he had already included it in his 10 favorite Metal albums during an interview with Rolling Stoneexplaining: “Sabotage is a very heavy album. There are so many good songs on it. When I choose albums, I choose the ones that I want to listen to while driving or working out. For Black Sabbath, it's Sabotage. There is Megalomania, Symptom Of The Universe with its incredible atmosphere, Hole In The Sky. And there's the Supertzar instrumental. I love this piece. He fascinates me.”
