Danish Metal Legend Unveils Chilling Video Shot in Haunted Asylum That Inspired Stranger Things.
A long-awaited return with an ambitious project
King Diamond revealed Spider Lillyhis first unreleased song in five years. This title is taken from Saint Lucifer’s Hospital 1920the first part of a horrific trilogy that promises to captivate fans of metal and macabre tales.
The video, which accompanies this single, was partially filmed at Pennhurst Asylum, a former psychiatric institute located in Spring City, Pennsylvania. This place, now a haunted attraction, inspired the fictional asylum appearing in season 4 of the series Stranger Things.
King Diamond describes the filming experience as “dark but awesome”. He adds: “I hope this won’t be the last video we get to shoot there.”
Also featured in the video is actress Jodi Cachia, a longtime collaborator of the artist, who adds a sinister and theatrical touch to this production.

A musical rebirth after a long break
This new single marks the return of King Diamond after a prolonged absence. His latest album, Give Me Your Soul… Pleasedates back to 2007, while the single Masquerade of Madness was created in 2019.
With Spider LillyKing Diamond lays the foundations for a conceptual trilogy that promises to be fascinating, mixing dark sounds and horrific storytelling, a trademark of the artist for decades.
A European tour in 2025
To support the release of this title and prepare for the arrival of his next projects, King Diamond will go on tour next summer, with dates throughout Europe. Here are some dates to remember:

- June 22: Dessel, Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgique)
Bands like Paradise Lost, Angel Witch and Unto Others will open for some concerts.
