On the occasion of the release of his new project, The Weasel is in the spotlight all week on Planète Rap at Skyrock. Moreover, the rapper revealed that he would no longer speak in the media and explained why this Monday, December 16. Gentsu tells you more.
One of the most striking moments of the second edition of Les Flammes was probably the medley of
The Weasel. The opportunity for the public to cover their greatest hits including My Best with
Zaho or even From the Farm. Moreover, this hit has come back into fashion, particularly on TikTok. At Skyrock,
the one who experienced a crossing of the desert commented on the excitement around and said:
A little anecdote about this sound is that I have the impression that it has really become a popular sound among people, they love it but you just have to remember one thing and that is… this song in true in the hearts of people and even it is perhaps becoming what we call a gold song but only Skyrock played this song. It was never broadcast on another radio station. It’s really the people who chose to make this song what it is today (…) It’s a big hit, I have the impression that it was played on TF1 for eight years.
La Fouine will no longer do interviews: “we don’t need to explain a good album”
November 22, 2022, The Weasel made its return to stores as promised earlier in the year with
Capital du crime radio. But unlike his previous albums, the rapper wouldn’t be doing a media tour to promote it… and it’s for good reason as he said:
When you release a good project, you don’t need to explain it. You don’t need to defend by saying “I made this song a little more for the girls, this one a little more for the radios”. You put play on and excite everyone. Everyone agrees from A to Z. Because everyone knows rap, we don’t need to explain a good album.
The Weasel clarified:
I want to make music, we talk too much in the media and we don’t let the music express itself enough.
Speaking of music,
La Fouine also revealed that he regrets the lack of messages in rap currently.
