Taylor Swift won big at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) in Las Vegas.
In a ceremony hosted by actress and comedian Michelle Buteau, the two-hour special paid tribute to those who excelled in music this year, according to the year-end rankings of Billboard.
Taylor Swift has won a total of 10 awards, including Best Artist, Best Female Artist, and Best Album (with The Tortured Poets Department), which makes her the most awarded artist in the history of the ceremony. She collected a total of 49 trophies, beating Drake, who held the record.
Artists Coldplay, Jelly Roll, Megan Moroney, Shaboozey, Teddy Swims, Tyla, Seventeen, Stray Kids, Linkin Park and Fuerza Regida all took the stage at the event. Zach Bryan topped this year’s nominations with 18. He received a total of five awards. Sabrina Carpenter received nine nominations, but won nothing. Benson Boone, who won Top 100 Song, and Chappell Roan, who won Best New Artist, were nominated for the first time. Nicki Minaj was recognized for her tour as a rap artist. Beyoncé walked away with the award for Best Female Country Music Artist.
