Between her divorce and her canceled summer tour, the year 2024 has not been easy for Jennifer Lopez. Although it was difficult to disappoint her fans, the singer nevertheless admitted not having regretted her decision on the set of Graham Norton Show.
While she was to kick off her summer concert tour on June 26, Jennifer Lopez surprised her fans by announcing her cancellation of all her dates, only a few weeks before the launch. The 55-year-old singer then announced that she wanted to take time for “her children, her family and her close friends” and above all to try to save her relationship, then in crisis. A decision that left her “completely ill and devastated”.
“Please know that I would not do this if I did not think it was absolutely necessary,” she said in a statement at the time. And for good reason: just a few months later, on August 21, 2024, Jennifer Lopez announced her divorce from Ben Affleck, after only two years of marriage. A trying year for the singer, to which she returned on the set of The Graham Norton Show.

“You know, I decided to take the summer off and be home with the kids, and it’s the best thing I think I’ve ever done,” the pop star finally said. “It’s not like me to do that and, when it happens, I apologize to the fans because I know a lot of them came on purpose.”
“Don’t say sorry, we love you”
Fortunately for her, her fans don’t seem to hold it against her today. As she remembered meeting a fan outside her London hotel and apologizing for the cancellation of her tour, the latter appeared from the audience. “Was that you? Oh my God!”, she exclaimed, jumping off the sofa where she was sitting, before taking the fan in her arms.
“I got in the car and literally cried. Honestly, it was very difficult for me to cancel. I’ve never done that before,” she told him, shaking his hand tightly. “We understand. Don’t say sorry, we love you,” he replied.
