Katy Perry’s next world tour will allow the pop star to reconnect with her admirers in Montreal and Quebec, in the summer of 2025, and… to introduce her 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, to our poutine.
“She loves fries. She’s really going to like poutine,” Katy Perry said during a recent Zoom chat with The Journal.
The singer of Teenage Dream granted rare interviews to the Quebec press on the sidelines of the announcement, Monday morning, of seven concerts in Canada of the tour Lifetimes, which will take her to the Bell Center and the Videotron Center on July 30 and July 1is august.

These dates are added to an itinerary which already includes stays in Mexico, Australia, South America and England. The American portion has not yet been revealed.
Science-fiction
This will be the first tour since 2017 for the 40-year-old artist, who launched the album 143 this fall. The tour show Witnesswhich also visited Quebec at the time, was a visual masterpiece with a staging that was both flamboyant and spectacular.

Can Katy Perry top this production?
“You can’t always go bigger. Instead, we need to approach this from another angle. The tour will have the same textures as the album, which are rooted in science fiction. There is a lot of talk these days about new technologies, what the future will look like and what it means for humanity. There will be that. But what you have to remember is that it will be a dance party,” she promises.
Speaking of the development of technology, as an artist, does she fear artificial intelligence? “No, because unlike artificial intelligence, humans have a beating heart. It’s impossible to reproduce this. There is something truly magical in human breath.”
Spicy, but not too much
Going back on tour will give Katy Perry the opportunity to see that many hourglasses have been turned over since the album One of the Boyslaunched in 2008, propelled her among the big names in pop music thanks to the hits “I Kissed a Girl” and “Hot N Cold”.
“I think I’ll see faces in the crowd who have been with me throughout this adventure. Maybe they’ll bring their kids. The age of my audience varies between 8 and 80 years old. Sometimes grandparents come with their grandchildren. It’s still a fun family show, with a wink, of course. I like playing on this line. I’m spicy, but not too spicy,” she says.
Furthermore, it seems that fans of Left Shark, the famous mascot who became famous because of his out-of-sync dance at Katy Perry’s Super Bowl show in 2016, will have to mourn.
Unlike the tour Witnessthe left shark will be conspicuous this time by its absence. “I think it was removed to an island,” she concludes.
- Tickets for the concerts in Montreal and Quebec will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
