Philippe Katerine, a Zouzou who has a dog

We can no longer count the caps – or should we say the bucket hats? – by Philippe Katerine. Singer-songwriter, actor, director, designer, writer and visual artist, he is of the caliber of those artists whose work and person are one. Delicate, offbeat and fanciful, its “paste” is recognizable among thousands but nevertheless never ceases to surprise us. His new album, titled Zouzou in tribute to his young dog, could well leave a significant mark in an already full discography. In seventeen selected titles, Philippe Katerine confides in his relationship with everyday life, with the passing of time, with the ordinary. From “Sous mon bob” to “Bonifacio”, including the now cult “Nu”, he delivers a real exercise in style. But what exactly is under her bob? What are his imaginations populated with?
