Relatives of Liam Payne and One Direction gathered at the singer’s funeral

Relatives of Liam Payne and his former One Direction bandmates gathered in Amersham, west London, on Wednesday for the funeral of the singer, who died in October at the age of 31.

Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson arrived in the middle of the day for the ceremony organized at St Mary’s Church in this Buckinghamshire town, whose entrance was decorated with flowers and candles.

A few minutes later, the singer’s coffin arrived in a white carriage decorated with colorful flower crowns, followed by his parents.

Liam Payne’s former partner, Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy, their seven-year-old son, Bear, and his last girlfriend, American influencer Kate Cassidy, were also present at the small funeral.

A dozen admirers, kept apart behind a cordon, also made the trip to pay a final tribute to the One Direction singer.

The death of Liam Payne, who fell from the balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16, shocked the group’s fans around the world.

Tributes took place in many cities, including London on October 20, where thousands of people sang along to the songs of the former group, which enjoyed meteoric success from 2010 to 2016.

Argentine prosecutors have revealed that Liam Payne had consumed alcohol, cocaine and antidepressants before his death. Three people were charged with supplying him with drugs.

He died of multiple traumas and a internal and external bleeding.

Liam Payne released his first album, LP1in 2019. Last year, he announced that he was working on a second album and released a new single in March.
