From the world hairdressing championships to TV sets, including the Olympics and the NRJ Music Awards, Laetitia Corblin has a dazzling career, between passion and success.
A little over a year ago, Laetitia Corblin, talented hairdresser from L’Aiguillon and member of the French team, won two individual gold medals and one team gold medal at the world hairdressing championships. A dream come true and an unusual adventure for an authentic feat.
The adventure continued in 2024 with an intensity that the Ariégeoise would never have imagined. It all started in February when she joined, as a trainer, the team of Raphaël Perrier, a big name in hairdressing, director of the French team and active in events and TV sets. Driven by this dynamic, Laetitia took part in shows on TF1, M6 and W9: “Hair styling stars, actors and Star Academy candidates was each time an exhilarating challenge under high pressure. »
Another major challenge quickly presented itself: Raphaël Perrier having obtained the hairdressing contract for the Olympic Games. “A lounge has been specially created in the Olympic village. For two months, there were eleven of us hairdressers working almost non-stop to style the athletes’ hair. » Laetitia lived this unique experience to the fullest, adapting to all hair types and cuts for men and women. “For the boxers, we had to do very tight braids; for synchronized swimmers, perfectly fixed hairstyles. It was intense, but I had a great time. »
Despite the language barrier – “speaking English was a necessity that I did not master, but I learned on the job and knew how to adapt” – Laetitia had the icing on the cake: “I was lucky to participate in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on a barge on the Seine, where I styled the actors of the last scene, drag queens and dancers. An exceptional moment. »
At the beginning of November, Laetitia took on another major challenge during the NRJ Music Awards on TF1. “I left with a colleague three days before the show in Cannes. Amir wanted to have his hair cut on stage. We styled for rehearsals and used Amir’s art director as a model, rehearsing on him shaving his head to adjust the length. » Live, 17 seconds were planned to shave the singer’s hair, but it took 30, a successful feat despite everything. “I was delighted, I savored every moment. Many viewers on the networks wondered if we were hairdressers or dancers. »
In the meantime, Laetitia Corblin won a bronze medal with the French team during the world hairdressing championships. From now on, Laetitia also works as a wigmaker and has teamed up with Raphaël Perrier to create a unique three-month training course dedicated to the art of wigs. “I travel a lot, whether for events or training, and I also go to schools. I always had goals and I always told myself I was going to get there, but I didn’t imagine it would go so quickly. » Laetitia, from Ariège, is a fulfilled young woman.
