Category 7, a new band bringing together Metal legends like John Bush (Armored Saint, ex-Anthrax) and Phil Demmel (ex-Machine Head), has released a Music video for the track Land I Used To Love. This track is taken from their eponymous debut album, released last July via Metal Blade Records.
A supergroup for a new vision of metal
Category 7 is made up of veteran musicians who have left their mark on the metal scene, including John Bush on vocals, Phil Demmel and Mike Orlando on guitars, Jack Gibson on bass, and Jason Bittner on drums. This impressive lineup allowed the band to create a sound that was heavy, melodic, and hard-hitting, a fusion of thrash, NWOBHM, and punk metal.
The clip of Land I Used To Lovedirected by Tom Flynn (known for his work with As I Lay Dying), was filmed on Long Island, New York. This is the fifth music video from the album, demonstrating the group's visual and artistic ambition.

A highly anticipated tour in 2025
To promote their debut album, Category 7 will embark on a 14-date tour in March 2025, beginning March 6 in Baltimore and concluding March 23 in Atlanta. This tour will see them playing alongside bands like Exhorder and Dead By Wednesday, giving fans a unique opportunity to experience this new project live.
John Bush shared his enthusiasm for this tour: “We can’t wait to get on stage and present our album to the public. Come see us in March for a dose of authentic metal!”
