This is the third time that the award for Best Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media has been presented at the Grammy Awards. A third consecutive year after the grand premiere during the 2023 edition, then this year in 2024. On February 2, 2025, several composers will compete to win the statuette. It's almost flawless for Bear McCreary who is nominated for the third year in a row with the music from the Vahlalla DLC by God of War Ragnarök. This year, the composer was nominated for the music of Call of Duty Vanguardand in 2023 he had been nominated for the original game God of War Ragnarök. However, he never won the award.

In 2023, composer Stephanie Economou won the Grammy thanks to her work on the DLC Ragnarök d'Assassin's Creed Valhalla. This year, Stephen Barton and Gordy Haab took home the prize thanks to their work on the music of Star Wars : Jedi Survivor. Will this be the right year for Bear McCreary?
