After more than ten years of silence, the “Campus” radio station at the University of Kinshasa is resuming its broadcasts. Installed on the first level of the law and letters building, it serves as a teaching tool for journalism students.
This media also ensures the mission of informing, educating and raising awareness among the Kinshasa population in general and the university community in particular.
In the installations of this radio, young journalism students and technicians engage in the exercise of informing.
Currently, UNKN campus radio operates with a 202,000W transmitter, a mixer, a computer for sound processing, a few microphones and a studio.
If the reopening of the Radio Campus arouses enthusiasm for several students, others criticize the fact that access to the radio is very limited.
In response to the concerns of these students, one of the managers of the information sciences department specifies that this media belongs to the University of Kinshasa and not to the department, nevertheless, journalism students can carry out their internship and work there. practices.
