Vessel and II put on the show

Yesterday, November 5, Sleep Token offered an unusual concert in Zurich, while two members of the group were ill. Only the singer, Vessel, the drummer, II, and three female backup singers were able to go on stage to put on the show.

A reinvented concert with pre-recorded tracks

A few hours before the concert at Halle 622, the collective announced via Instagram the absence of its bassist, III, and its guitarist, IV, both of whom had fallen ill. Rather than cancel, Sleep Token decided to use pre-recorded tracks from recent rehearsals. In its statement, the group explained: “We always do our best to avoid canceling a Ritual unless absolutely necessary, and we hope this solution will be more acceptable than a last minute cancellation.”

The members of MetalZone present at the concert were able to see the intact energy of the group despite these absences. Vessel, accompanied by II and the backing vocalists, was able to infuse all the intensity and atmosphere specific to Sleep Token’s rituals, once again proving the group’s determination to offer a unique experience to its fans, even in the face of adversity. .
