Only a few more hours to wait before the NRJ Awards ceremony which will take place this evening and which will be broadcast from 9:10 p.m. on TF1 and NRJ. Pierre Garnier, who is nominated in the “French-speaking revelation” and “French-speaking song” categories, agreed to answer questions from the daily “Le Parisien” on newsstands today.

“Already, being nominated is a victory”

During this interview conducted by Kevin Boucher-Rappet, the former academician explained about the NRJ Music Awards: “I've been in music for a year, so this evening is a bit of a consecration of the year of madness that I've just experienced.”. Before adding: “It is not an end in itself. The goal is to continue doing what we love, namely songs that touch people and allow us to meet them on stage. A trophy is magnificent for what it represents, but already, to be nominated is a victory”.

The 22-year-old young man also returned to his participation in the famous TF1 talent show which changed his life forever. He said: “The show was different because it was intense but cut off from the world. When it came out, it was a real whirlwind. I did what I was told to do and, as the tour of the Star Academy was ending and the album was ending, I realized what was happening to me and I took a break. It was quite complicated to live with on many levels, because I completely changed my life in a very short time. Today, I'm getting back to it more slowly and I'm having more fun doing what I do. It was a crazy experience, which allows me to feel good now”.
