“I don’t want to make people suffer”: for her 90th birthday, renowned singer Nana Mouskouri announces some very bad news

“During Covid-19, I lost strength. I was hospitalized for a month in the emergency room and, when I came out, I fell at home. Several health concerns

During Covid-19, the Greek artist suffered from double pneumonia which greatly weakened her. In addition to this, the Greek artist went through other ordeals which were a kind of wake-up call for her: pancreatic cancer in 2015 and peritonitis in 2019.

“I think I’ve done enough.”she explained to the German magazine The mirror these last few days. “I can’t pretend to be a young woman. I don’t want to hurt people. I don’t have the right to go on stage and sing badly, even if the audience applauds me for it.”

However, fans of the interpreter of “ I sing with you freedom” can reassure themselves. Nana Mouskouri will not leave on the sly: “I would like to do three or four farewell concerts, including one last big concert in she reveals to Parisian.
