Ice Nine Kills drummer Patrick Galante has announced his departure from the group, ending six years of collaboration marked by landmark albums and memorable tours. Bartholomew) and their resumption of Thriller by Michael Jackson on the album The Silver Screamwhich paid homage to iconic horror films.

It’s in The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood that Galante was fully integrated into the group, contributing to the sonic evolution of Ice Nine Kills and bringing his unique touch to Metalcore compositions. However, the musician has decided to turn the page, as he announced in a press release published yesterday.

Patrick Galante speaks about his departure

In his message to fans and the band, Galante expressed his gratitude and optimism for the future: “Performing with Ice Nine Kills has been an incredible experience, and I can’t thank my brothers in INK enough for their trust and faith in me over the past six years.”

He added: “That said, I have made the difficult decision to leave Ice Nine Kills. I’m excited to see INK continue to succeed while I pursue other creative and musical projects.”

Patrick Galante wanted to reassure his fans about his musical future: “It’s not my departure from music. This is not my retirement from the stage. It’s just the end of a chapter, and I’m ready to explore the rest of my story. I am happy, healthy and grateful for all your support.”

A void to fill for Ice Nine Kills

As of now, Ice Nine Kills has yet to announce who will replace Galante behind the drums. This isn’t the first time the band has faced the departure of a drummer, but the impact of Galante, who has been a key member over the past few years, will not go unnoticed.

Ice Nine Kills fans, meanwhile, can’t wait to see what the future holds for Galante, as well as where the band will go with a new drummer on board.
