The performance of the singer with 250 million albums sold was one of the highlights of the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, particularly because it was her first performance since she announced that she had stiff person syndrome.
This rare neurological pathology, with no known cure, has forced her to abandon tours and residency concerts in recent years.
The 56-year-old Quebecer can live normally between the manifestations of the disease but until now could no longer envisage world tours or her residency concerts in Las Vegas.
The recording of this performance is made available on a symbolic date, for the 61st anniversary of the death of Edith Piaf, who died in 1963 at the age of 47.
Celine Dion had already performed at the opening of the Atlanta Olympics in 1996.
Other songs from the Paris Olympics have already been released on the platforms, notably the song “Parade” composed by Victor Le Masne or “Nightcall” by the trio Kavinsky/Angèle/Phoenix as well as “Mea Culpa (Ah! ça ira!)” by Gojira, with Marina Viotti.
